HEALTHCARE

Montefiore Health System, White Plains Hospital, Westchester County, NY MEP Project Manager Supervising the construction process to provide field guidance to HVAC and electrical contractors during a program to renovate and upgrade infrastructure and facilities at White Plains Hospital, located in suburban Westchester County, north of New York City. The 292-bed hospital, which is part of the Montefiore Health System, treats approximately 170,000 patients annually. Provide support to the hospital’s Strategic Planning Board by providing budgets for funding both new and ongoing projects, as well as furnishing schedules for design and construction tasks. Serves as the owner’s representative when dealing with designers, engineers, contractors, and vendors. 

This program consisted of numerous individual projects, including:

    • Air handler upgrades
  • Data Center Upgrades
  • Smoke Purge Equipment Relocations
  • White Plains Ambulatory Surgery Center at 226 Westchester Avenue

AIRPORTS

Delta Air Lines, Airfield Reconfiguration Project at LaGuardia Airport, Queens, NY Project Engineer Oversaw the construction process to provide field guidance to HVAC and electrical contractors during a multi-year effort to build a new state-of-the-art 37-gate terminal for Delta Air Lines at New York’s LaGuardia Airport.  This $4 billion megaproject includes demolishing existing Terminals C and D; constructing a new central head house; erecting four new concourses (D-G); and providing temporary and new permanent airside and landside roadways. Work also included expanding an existing parking garage, constructing a new two-level garage for taxis and for-hire vehicles, relocating a security guard post, and extensive apron, fueling, substation, and utility upgrades. Responsibilities included observing field conditions and attending inspections with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s (PANYNJ) Quality Assurance Department and providing support for the design team’s engineer of record. Attended field meetings; developed and completed punch lists; and prepared reports documenting project progress and completion.

COMMERCIAL/RETAIL

MEP, Fire Protection, and Fire Alarm Design Firm, New York, NY*

Supervised the design and installation of HVAC systems for both new construction and tenant renovations in low- and high-rise buildings throughout New York City. Spaces ranged in size from 150,000 to 500,000 sq. ft. Managed the construction process for MEP-related issues. Specific projects included:

  • Home Depot – Multiple Locations – Complete HVAC replacement and upgrades
  • One Hotel Barbuto Restaurant (renovations for new restaurant)
  • Cloud Kitchens (Various new ghost kitchen designs and upgrades)
  • 540 West 26th Street (new nine-story commercial building)
  • 60 Charlton Street (8 new floors added onto existing building)
  • 95 Evergreen Avenue (core and shell renovation within a repurposed building)
  • Avenues: The World School (tenant renovation on floors 1 to 5)

Designed HVAC systems for tenant renovations in existing buildings, as well as for new spaces in recently constructed low- and high-rise buildings. Designed spaces ranging from 250,000 to 500,000 sq. ft., located primarily throughout the New York/New Jersey area, managed project teams responsible for coordinating the various trades working on site.  Specific projects included:

  • Aalto57 (new 56-story residential building)
  • Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (new 15-story commercial building)
  • Gramercy Square Residences (hospital conversion to residential building)
  • Hudson Lights (new 16-story residential building)
  • Rikers Island Admissions Facility (new 10-story administration building)
  • Seton Hall University Student Activity Center (new three-story university building)

 

Managed numerous HVAC design and renovation projects for commercial office spaces ranging in size from 6,000 to 35,000 sq. ft. These projects, which involved full and partial floor renovations for clients throughout New York City, included:
